Recent new delay plugin...
Recently someone posted a message here regarding their new space-echo type delay. Can anyone remember the link or the name of it? I'd like to give it a try. Couldn't find it using search... Thanks.

Ok I don't have the plug but I had a look at the link, looks interesting but there are many tape emulators of this kind out there today. UAD has been mentioned, there Guitar Rig 4, there is another company that does one for a $100 http://www.audiotechnology.com.au/news/nomad-factory-echos/ here you go. The question is "what do you want to use this plugin for?" If you are a begininer or a hobist, then this plug is not for you, I have two degree's and I would be still learning that plug for another year but if that drives your boat and the price is right give it a go, by the way what is the price???? If it's less than 50 bucks or there abouts be a little careful, you may just be a beta tester because that plug in has so much going on if I wasn't paying more than $150, I'd be a little cautious. Peace sorry about the spelling!!

Chregg im guessing he wants to use a delay plug-in for the same reason most cats do, dont see what two media degrees has to do with anything, a year to learn a delay plug-in **** !! Look you and I have alway's been reasonable to each other!!! Did you go to the link and look at the Plug, the feature set on that plug is massive, ok maybe a slight exageration in terms of a year. As for my degree's I am only making the point that if someone who is educated in Music Technology, say's it's going to be a steep learning curve to get that plug in to work then it will be. That is unless you use presets and I hope this is not what you are suggesting. I will maintain that any fool can take a modern DAW, press the preset flight button and off we go. This is one factor in many, that our musical edifice is collapsing. I want people who by a plug or a DAW or whatever mixing, musical making device that we use to make music and "learn" how to use it properly. Case one my TLAudio A2, it took me three months before I started to get decent results out of it, three months!!!! Case two, the UAD Fairchild limiter, I spent a month reading specs and documents about the original before I could say I understand that plug and what each function does, now I can use it and use it for what it is designed for. You get my point, I hope. "I'm not saying, I am better or greater" John Lennon I use and I think if I remember corectly you went to SAE in England my credentials to emphasise things. As I say I AM NOT BETTER OR GREATER but if you work hard for the letters after your name use them. This is a problem with people in the "audio industry" not the talent but the techs, they have no EGO so when they are presented with someone who has a healthy ego, they tend to find it a little confronting. This though is not just confined to the audio industry most non university educated people take the tall poppy approach to the "educated" and most "educated" people are quite and non-aggressive bit of an over exageration but I am one academic who is willing to take on the fight win or lose NO QUARTER, like me, hate me, block me I don't care but I am offering "eduacted" advice. Peace and sorry to the OP for going off topic. PS attack me all you like but your best line of attack is how the **** did I end up with a Masters with such bad spelling and grammer (at least I can work on that)

Look I also apologized to the OP, hence not personal message you, I am apologizing again. Back to it, I am writing a peice of mine out in "real music form" wow can you believe that, a hand written manuscript and yes I can do it, just!!!!!. Now where was that function is Sonar that lets me print and write out scores. This is all for my PHD application, just had to show off again. To the original poster, sorry for hi jacking your thread, let me know if there is anything I can do for you to help you in your music making cause. Peace Ben

Ummm, well I just wanted another delay for the arsenal, if it's a good one. I've tried the echo boy demo and it was a tad buggy in win7 64, but I loved the sounds. I've got a Boss GT-8 and a Fender SuperchampXD so my selection is fairly wide, I just seem to fare better with a plugin. Less fiddling around with hardware knobs. I'm more of a computer guy. And I've had 4 singles on small market Canadian radio, with 2 of those songs mastered in Sonar so I can usually make something work. Just wondering if anyone's had any experience with the above mentioned bandecho.
Sonar X1b 64bit, TCStudiokonnekt48, Quad Core Q6600 with 4 gigs ram, Win7 64bit, Strat, Casino, K-yairi acoustic, DTXpressII Drums, Boss GT-8, Fender Blues Jr., Roland D20, Adam A7's, modded Apex460, modded Apex205, SP C1, 57, Tascam TSR-8, various plugs and softs.

I'm interested in what people have to say about Bandecho as well. To the OP: Have you tried out Fabfilter Timeless 2? That's my goto delay atm.

Well to go back on topic, I love Tape Echo in GTR4, it's my goto delay plug of the week, I don't know how arcurate a simulation it is but I love it, easy to use and for $200 app US you get all the other stuff that come with it and it has some really cool delay units with it Eg Psydelay, that gives you a backwards delay effect and also a grainular (spelling) delay, this is a mind boggling delay effect, it takes snipits of audio and delays the snipits of audio. Ok OP, if you are after a Tape Echo delay based upon the one you have put forth, this is my recomendaton GTR4. Peace Ben

mamm7215 I have gtr4 lite, does it have the same delay or do i need the full version...? No only full version!!!! but you will be able to upgrade that for I think somewhere in the vacinity of $150 well worth it. You get a whole raft of effects, ring moduletor (Spelling) leslie speaker and of course all the amp syms and stomp boxes you could ever want. If you are a guitarist team that up with Berhringer FCB1010 midi foot controller you have one awsome and very powerfull peice of kit. Peace Ben
