Any way to SAVE a PRV View?

Hello,

Just wondering, every time I double click on a MIDI clip, the PRV view always shows the controller pane.  I keep having to drag it down to the bottom so I don't see it, but every time I close it out, and reopen PRV, it appears again!
Anyway to keep it permanent?
Thanks!
Adam

At the top of the PRV, it has its own View menu, which contains a "Show / Hide Controller Pane" option.

It's generally a good thing to wrap your head around when looking for stuff in X1, that most views now have their own menu bar, and the main menu bar now only really deals with global stuff.

I can see how people forget about that, as it's a kind of "un-Windows" design, but I think it's a great improvement once you're familiar with it. Means that relevant options are always attached to the view, whether it's docked or floated or whatever.

    Hi John,

I know about these views but they don't stick.  It works for the window I am in.... but it keeps opening up the Controller pane on new PRV windows I open :(

    Thanks!

Umm nevermind... its working.   I think it was because I had locked Screensets :)  I unlocked them and now everything is fine!

You did help though!!  THANK YOU!!!

I'm not at a place where i can test this out, but what about if you 'lock' your PRV configuration (by ticking the 'lock' option on the PRV tab at the top of the page), and then saving the screenset?

This may not work -- the inability to save PRV configurations, as with drum maps that get covered over by keyboard note rows, i think indicates a feature not yet fully mature. But it's worth a try.
