MIDI FILE TO AUDIO MASTERING IN SONAR 8.5

I want to mix a midi file to audio thru an external sound device  IT WORKS - I CAN REC IT ONTO AUD TRK  But I can't route it to the Master bus to apply fx in the console ANY IDEAS ?

    Once you record it to an audio track, then you can add all the Fx you want.

    Good detective work Reece, I always do the same. you see a post that's getting stale and the OP is not involved anymore. Some of them get 10 answers too! For anyone who's interested. Always wait until the OP replies before wasting to much time on an answer. Click on their user name and see what they have been posting. You'd be amazed at how many will post a question and never return, but then post another question in a new thread.
