Hey Mr. IK man...

Do you guys have any plans to make products and apps for the Android or Honeycomb OS? I REALLY do not want to buy an i-Phone or an i-Pad. I plan to upgrade to some Android based phone soon and get wither an ASUS Transformer or a Motrola XOOM tablet.  I would love to use some of your apps but not if I have to buy Apple products.
You going to help me out??
 
On a side note, the Verison union thugs helped me with my decision of whether to stay wilh AT&T or move to Verison... when they showed up at the CEOs home. I want nothing to do with them... I wil stay with AT&T.
 
But what about IK HW and apps for the Transformer or XOOM and for Android? Is there a shell or workaround?

Another question. How can I tell if my Ampitude 3 is 32 bit or 64 bit? I can't find anywhere where it tells me. Everything installed in Programs except the .dll. installed in 32. I assume that it automatically installed both 32bit and 64bit but I don't know how to tell.

To tell if your A3 is 32 or 64bit open it up as a vst in Sonar. If it creates an icon in the taskbar, it's 32bit.

Thanks Obi, it seems to be 64 bit, there is no icon in the taskbar. I downloaded Amplitude Fender and SVX as my freebies in the promotion. I noticed that they installed in the Program Files (x86) folder. As far as I know I downloaded the newest versions but I will check. They installed without a hitch and I got them registered online easily.

I do not remember seeing any and it's funny that when I installed Fender and SVX I noted that it said it would install in program files (x86) Cakewalk VSTplugins. Now when I look there I find this:
AmpegSVX.dll
Amplitude 3.dll
AmplitudeFender.dll
Sampletank2.x.dll
Sampletank2.x
Tracks3Vint Comp 670.dll

When I look in the C: Program Flies Cakewalk VSTplugins folder I find:

Folders for:
Amplitude 3 with a lot of files. Theones with extensions are .app.pak; .pak; .vpa; .vpa64 Also  a "what's new in 3.5, t I thought I had 3.6...

There is a Sampletank_FREE-b folder

A T-Racks_3_Vintage_Compressor_670_3.5.1 folder

Two .dll files
Amplitude 3.dll and Sampletank2.dll
There is a Sampletank2.x file too

I think I have 64 bit installed. I have been trying to figure out how to get the free samples into the Sampletank2 player... I have come to the point last resort... reading the manual. You know how it is... I will read the manual tomorrow, but I am pretty sure that Amplitude 3, Fender, and SX is installed in 64bit, perhaps 32bit also.
I looked a little more and in pregrams (x86) there is an IK Multimedia folder and everything is in there, custom shop and everything else. It is like a lot of stuff is in three different places. I used default when installing everything. Maybe tomorrow I will take a look at my account, my downloads, my authorizations, etc and see if I can figure it out. I can wait until next week if I need to talk to tech support and see if something is wrong. The thing is that I just don't know and see no way to be certain and I don't want to use up another authorization for no reason.
Thanks for taking a look. I really do not want to go through a re-install, re-register etc... unless I really need to.

OK, I got it all working again (I hope). I un-installed A3, AF, and ASVX and the zip files, and all the folders and downloaded again. I only had to reauthorize Fender for some reason. I chose ONLY the 64bit VSTs and used the default folders again... sometimes I cause myself way too much trouble. It took several tries to get the CS to start working and not time out... but it is working and all my gear is there. It said 64bit but installed in (x86)... frankly right now I don't care I am just glad it is back.

The install put stuff in both my Program Files(86) and my Program Files (Win7_64) folders too but it works!
I moved aLL all of the Sampletank content to another drive and changed the path in the SampleTank Prefs control panel.   The only problem I've had is the driver for my Fender G-Dec 3 tries to grab all the outs on my VS-100 when running Sampletank as a stand-alone.  I made a work around using a couple of reg hacks.

Finally made the move and got AT full. Pretty sweet. I'll throw a few Fenders in there and I should be good for a while.

On my wishlist for AT - a couple of Matchless models. Maybe a Hiwatt or two. But this can wait. $$ :p
