X3 - Track & console views on Different Monitors?

Is this possible? Seems like a something that should be and I thought I remembered doing it in older versions but can't see how.

yes it is possible you just undock the console view and drag it across to the 2nd monitor and maximize it or whatever size you want

Its a drag and drop operation for an easy way to do it. Grab the tab in the Multidock for the CV and drag it over to the new monitor.

Found it. Had to undock it multi dock. Not obvious at all.

I have avoided learning the X GUI for a few years and I'm not enjoying the process. So far I still prefer the older GUI. Don't see yet how shuffling all the stuff around and making familiar work flows unfamiliar has made SONAR any better.

Is the controller pane gone now in MIDI CLIPS view? Again, not better, IMHO....   Yeah I know, "progress" just like MS does (I hate the Server 2012 R2 interface too... :-(  ).  I'm trying to force myself to use X3 and NOT revert to the familiar GUI in S8.5p but it's really stiffing my creativity. I understand now why so many of my forum friends have abandoned SONAR over the years, one reason at least...

    rant over....for now

I feel your pain.  Sometimes it seems like the computer industry changes things just to have a change.

For instance, why does V-Vocal or Melodyne come up tucked behind the track view? You always have to manipulate it in order to see it. It seems obvious that if you call up a region FX that you want to look at it. There must be some kind of zen to this, but I don't get it.

    I am certainly getting old!

Cakewalk user since DOS3. Currently Platinum on a ASUS Z97 Sabertooth Mark 1 USB 3.1, i4790 3.6, 16 gigs memory, Windows 10 64, RME UCX using firewire.
