    Hello Kc2,

    I use it sometimes to record me without Sonar and it works perfectly.
    Moreover I use it to record my vynil LPs and find it very efficient.
    Just use a reasonable size SD card if you have long time recordings.

    hey Jpex,
    that actually good implementation idea to record vinyls to digital using this unit and later Sonar
    or other conversion program. I have to try.

    I use the sonar vs100 to record my band then later import it to sonar x1. As a stand alone recorder it works very well. Importing audio later to edit is very easy.

    I use it anywhere I used to carry a cassette deck.

    * Live gigs
    * Band practice
    * Songwriting Sessions
    * etc... etc...

    For the live gigs I just patch it into the board and get a direct feed, but I also have a matched pair of condensers for most other occasions. In all instances, it works great!

    Don't fix it in the mix ... Fix it in the take!

    So, When you use the VS 100 to record, is it a way you can pause it.
    It seems like you only got on shot at it, are maybe I am missing something.
