Camping at the lake with old friends whom we have not camped with in may years...since our kids were riding the kiddie rides at the amusement parks... now they are in college and one of theirs and one of ours is planning to "drop in" to spend the day at the lake with us.

you know we used to do camping a lot when the kids were younger, and one of the boys was in Cub/Boy Scouts for years so we did a lot of camping and outings then. but I was never really "into it" myself. I'm not really an outdoors kind of person. I prefer A/C and technology. My wife loves it tho, and she's outside even in the yard all the time puttering around in the flower gardens. meh. it looks purty, but I'd rather do other things. Dont get me wrong, I know the value of nature and adore it for what it is and I've had some wonderful memories of camping, canoeing, boating, etc. but in my age now, I'm just not really into sleeping on the hard ground any more.

Hanging out with my wife and dreaming of being at that lake with Herb. It's hot and humid here.

I'll be camping out at my house....a lake 5 minutes down the road...and laboring on a Wookiee Tele ! I may even try out GTR3 that I got a while back since I figured out how to work with my first ilok....did I mention that I don't like ilok? I don't. I thought it was something ya loaded on a USB memory stick...well I got stuck for an extra 50 to work that 32 bit software.....what have they been doing for that last two years? I got to hand it to those waves folks...at least they have excellent support. I called them just to find out- they even offered to setup the ilok account and make sure it worked for me!...beats the hell out of Line 6 - ilok and all. Yes I'll say that before I even hear it.

bayoubill FOOTBALL +1 bayoubill!! (honourable thing to do, if I may mention it myself....of course after Church!). Sat & Mon will be R&R with the family and if there's spare time, will mix, mix, mix (with a few cocktails too).

Started this renovation project a few years ago that ended up being quite large even though the house isn't huge. Added a porch all the way around it doing most of the work myself. Anyways, the porch has a gazebo on the front corner and I thought it would look nice to have a wall around it at the base to prevent erosion and hide some ugly stuff...I didn't want the small wall stones, no....I wanted the large ones. The 85 pound ones probably over 100 of em' before its all over. We have had weeks of rain every weekend so if I'm lucky sometime this weekend I'll be out there dragging those around and using up the ones I ordered so I can order more. Digging the 6" trenches around the base of a hill and compacting modified stone in there, then laying the first layer of stones was a challenge, but the worst should be over now.... somebody shoot me!

Karyn? We've got a volunteer. Up for some target practice? Run in a zig-zag pattern, Starise. It may only delay the inevitable, but it's more amusing.

Writing and recording. Days off are usually Sunday and Monday or Monday-Tuesday. Going to see Wicked Tuesday night. As unlikely as it is, I discovered that I have a fascination for musicals.
