    Somehow methinks he is not referring to what most of the rest of the world outside of the U.S.A. call football (granted there is Australian rules football, and the Canadian version as well).

    I'm sure that's true.  Association Football has more to do with Wall Street than it does Elland Road these days.

    It's not until you get well down the league pyramid where it becomes sport again.  Even there you'll get some big shot local business man funding the best players in a 100 mile radius putting clubs that play within their realistic financial means at a distinct disadvantage.
