LEE BLOWS!!!!

down limbs on powerlines ,my power was out for a few hours this morning, and more to come..the yard resembles a lake from the standing water, I have a few limbs down in the back area , no damage so far...

Thanks for the inquiry Old55, really the people in Texas need this, but it looks like Lee isnt going to dump much rain on their drought

You in Tallahassee? I grew up in Moultrie and my sister was a surgery ICU nurse at Tallahassee Memorial for years, retired now living in Monticello. I like Tallahassee, we used to go down to Woodville to the lime sinks to party... decades ago.

Yeah brother...quite a bit of flooding due to the east coast being so flooded already, there was no where for the water to go. Yeah was without power for nearly 2 days. Nothing important was damaged thank God...but the water damage to the basement and studio will require new rugs etc. I've vac'd up and treated the carpets for mold/mildew, but will wait to see what Katia is going to do before I replace the lower level. That new storm looks like it may hit directly at me...though it's still far enough away to where it may turn away or maybe even vanish. What I'm worried about now is we're supposed to get 3-4 days of rain starting tomorrow. I'm hoping the exterior repairs as well as drainage will make a difference for me this time.
 
Irene (as mean as she was) showed me things in my home that I had never knew had issues. So in a sense, it was a good thing because all of the areas she exploited have been repaired. Whether or not the reapairs make a difference...we'll have to see. But I personally can't see how they at least won't help by at least 60% or more or even a complete fix.
 
Anyway, I wish you the best with Lee and hope you don't get any flooding or anything bad happening to you, your family or your property. My buddy is in Louisiana and said it was pounding him pretty good. Stay safe and dry brother...my prayers are with you. :)

It has been raining on and off all day today... and now I remember that I forgot to get my gutters cleaned out... here it comes again.

J, that's what hurt me with Irene. I went up on the roof during the storm and thought I had done a decent job. When I went up just recently, I was throwing down arm loads of crap that would have filled a 55 gal trash bag to at least half or 3/4. Hope you don't have any flooding problems. Good luck.
