ACT doesn't respond to Edirol PCR-M50 Control Data

I'm using an Edirol PCR-50 controller (current Win7-64 driver 1.0) with Sonar X1c. I can't get the ACT template (PCR-M30) to respond to the controller. I'm sure I have it connected properly: IN PORT: PCR 2 OUT PORT: PCR MidiOX confirms data is being sent by both PCR1 (notes) and PCR2 (control data). In Sonar, I watch the level meter. The meter shows green when I play notes. But when I send control data, say a slider or knob from the PCR-M50, the only activity in the level meter is red flashing leds at the top of the meter. It seems that Sonar is getting the control info from PCR2 fine, but it isn't making it into the ACT inputs somehow. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks!

Here's what Cake Support says, in case you're searching. The PCR-M30 ACT template will not work correctly with the PCR-50. To use ACT you will want to create your own preset that maps to the rotaries, faders and buttons of your PCR-50. We have a step by step guide for doing this here: http://www.cakewalk.com/S...reader.aspx/2007013008 you'll want to scroll down to the section "How to Create ACT MIDI Controller Presets".
