Question about session drummer 3

Hey all, I just checked out Session drummer 3 for the first time today (was a long time battery 3 user) and was curious how this can be used with a MIDI controller such as an M-Audio Axium 25. In battery 3, you can assign notes on the keyboard to cells which house the drum sound you would like.. and when you press the keyboard notes, it triggers the drum hit. I didn't see anything like that in SD3 such as a "learn" mode like battery 3 has. Is this possible or are you just stuck with the built in patterns or prebuilt patterns? It's nice to be able to play in real time.

Assign your axiom as the midi input device in the tracks pane. The drums and cymbals in SD3 are already mapped to specific notes on any keyboard. No need to map them yourself with midi learn. Make sure the midi channel on the axiom and Sd3 misi track are the same, or just use omni.
