Sampletank help!
Hi all, I've downloaded the free Sampletank synth and sound library - can anyone advise how to use it? Can't remember to be honest, it's been many months since I've had time for the music. I'm using MC4 Thanks

SampleTank is pretty straightforward and easy to use for the most part. Is there something in particular you wanted to know more about?

Step one: run down to the office supply store and pick up a quality magnifier so you can read the labels. Step two: adjust the itty-bitty controls on the right-hand side labeled "COL", "LUM" and "SAT" (use your magnifier) to make the background white so you can read the patch list. Step three: click on "PREFS" and turn off the "relist on startup" option. After that, everything's pretty straightforward. OK, dragging the mouse up and down to assign output channels isn't exactly intuitive, nor is clicking on the gray button to unload a patch. But once you crack the code it all makes perfect sense.
All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to. My Stuff

Thanks all, I'll persevere with it. I couldn't seem to get a GUI up on my screen, I think that's what was throwing me. I'll check the video tutorials

Ik OBI - I can use some help. When using many of the editing tools, it seems to default to editing only the selected range. I want to apply say a filter globally for the particular sound but it's only selecting a specific sample range: Is there something goofy I'm doing to edit only a selected range instead of the whole range? I like to be able to edit one range differently from another...but it seems like it is not selected by default which makes quick edits very time consuming.

Rbh....If I understand you correctly, I think the problem is that you have the Zone button depressed (which causes the keys to appear as alternatating colors based on sample zones). This causes many of the edits to only apply to the selected sample regions. Try turning the Zone button Off and see if that works for you.
