Music Creator 5 - Splitting Left/Right channel audio

I'm currently in the process of configuring some MIDI files to create backing tracks for drum practise.
 
After muting the MIDI drum track I pan the remaining tracks to the right audio channel and then create a new MIDI click track which I pan to the left channel, the idea being I can play the left channel exclusively through an earphone to help keep timing whilst sending the right channel to be mixed with the output from my drums.
Panning the channels in this way only partly acheives my objective as the audio from the right channel can still be heard, albeit at a lower volume, in the left channel and vice versa.
 
Is there a way to split the audio channels completely and assign the output of tracks to either as desired?

    Are you using software synthesizers? If so, which ones?
    Or are you using the Microsoft GS Wavetable synth on your computer's sound card? Or the MIDI sounds your keyboard makes?
    In any case, if you bounce any soft synth tracks to audio or record the audio output of your keyboard to an audio track, the tracks will be more pannable. I think.

    I'm using the Cakewalk TTS-1 softsynth, and the sound is being produced by my PC's internal Realtek HD audio soundcard

    Try bouncing them to audio (select the MIDI track and soft synth track, go to Edit>Bounce To Track(s), make some selections on the Bounce menu, click OK).
    Some of the patches are stereo, like piano, but I think there is an option to bounce as mono, which will make it more pannable.
    Then mute or Archive the original MIDI track.

    Ok, I played around with this last night and a slight variation has worked brilliantly.
    I bounced the MIDI click track to audio, panned the new audio click track 100% left, and panned 100% right all the remaining MIDI tracks along with the Cakewalk TTS-1 instrument track.
    This has separated the audio exactly as I wanted and by using the program as a backing track I have the bonus of being able to alter the musical arrangement to suit.
