    Reece - If you don't mind the drive you could volunteer as the DSPCA. My wife and I used to. It's amazing the number of pure bred dogs that are abandoned for one reason or other. It's fun to take them out for a few minutes or help in some other way. (Not sure if there's a FWSPCA.)
