They come... they go.

I'm not even sure if I can say I ever owned it.

I saw a sweet deal on a Gibson SJ-100 last week with a very realistic buy it now price. I asked a few questions and then I bought it.

A few minutes ago I saw an email where all my money has been refunded. The seller notified me that a crack was found as the guitar was being prepared for shipping.

I don't know what to think... but I guess it wasn't meant to be.

All I wanted to do was play it... now I feel like I owned it but never carried it over the threshold.

Well, back to saving up for that fancy mic I said I was saving up for. :-)

best regards,
mike

At least the seller was honest enough to spare you the agony of finding the crack yourself. Wait--maybe I should rephrase that! LOL

Should auld acquaintance be forgot--hey, who the hell are you guys?

Yeah, way cool that the seller was honest.

Hopefully that was the case.  I've seen it happen where the seller gets a MUCH better offer and has to figure out how to get out of the original contract.

That said, I'm always a bit sceptical of buying a guitar on fleaBay without being able to try it first.  I've done it with both spectacular results (like an Axis Music Man I bought) and heavy regret (when a "Gibson" Korina Flying V turned out to be an Epiphone Korina Flying V rebranded to look exactly like a Gibson).
