Upgraded to new machine and lost my reverb capabilities??

Hi all -

I upgraded to a new machine and installed Sonar. I had used Sonar on my old machine and managed my plug-ins and audio effects ok. For some reason, I can't sem to access my audio effects (reverb, etc). I see them in the "manage plug-ins" window but when I right click to add plugs ins or audio effects to a track, once I select "all plugins" or any other category, it doesn't give me any other options. It's a dead end.  What am I missing?

Thanks.

you've left a lot of info out.

    new machine = what OS?  win7?  64bit?

sonar = what version?  and what bit of what version?

32bit DX plugins will not work on 64bit operating systems.  I suspect that's likely where you are, but you'll need to fill in the info before we can figure that out.

Surely - sorry to be so mysterious. That really doesn't help things. Here's where I am:

    Windows 7 running on a 64bit PC
    Sonar Home studio v. 6
    Intel processor @3.33Ghz

Basically, I keep trying to drop the reverb defaults into an effects bin. It doesn't seem to save, so when I go to add reverb by right-clicking on the track, there are NO reverb options. I get bupkus. I don't understand.  The plug-ins I was trying to access are WavesReverb or I3DL2 Reberb.  On my set-up these are found on the "Direct XMedia" category. Maybe I just don't know how to make these available.

Any help would be much appreciated. Or if you have any other suggestion on how to add any good quality reverb to my options.

    Thanks, all.

wavesreverb and I3DL2 are DX verbs associated with your soundcard and will not work in sonar.  SHS6 comes with other reverbs you can use instead.  I don't remember all of them that came with SHS6 and I don't have it installed on this machine.  but just look through your FX menu options and there will be others available (there are probably at least a couple)
