I tie my shoes the same way every day.

    Morning: Make bed.
Shower: Wash hair, wash body. Squeegee shower door.  After Shower: Dry off, put on undershreddies, apply hormones, dry hair, put on pants, shave, brush teeth, put on shirt.

    Same routine every day.

On the weekends I start much later in the day. On "Go Into Work" days, I start ~@6:30m.

I always stand in front of a mirror and lean over a sink to brush my teeth.....and wonder if I think about X1 in a bad way that I'll end up being flushed down to the CH.

I sleep from ~5:00 am until noonish. I wish I could get on a daytime schedule but I seem to think better at night when there are fewer people around. A character flaw, I know.

My dad had a regular routine in the morning when he was in the Air Force:
    Shave, s***, shower, shine shoes.

I get home, and check to make sure my front door is locked.
When I'm brushing my teeth before bed, I check to make sure my front door is locked.
Then, when i'm about to get into bed, I check to make sure my front door is locked.
Sometimes if I read for a while before falling asleep, I check to make sure my front door is locked.

It's not my favourite rote, but certainly my most predominant.

    Experience disappointment
Check to see if I'm dead yet
    Repeat sensation of disappointment
Check again, just to be sure

I would disagree the static from other people is enough to create a character flaw.

As to the rote, the last walk with the dog sometime between 11:00pm and 01:30am.  Very pleasant no people as a rule just Trudy's toys the cats and the foxes.
