Welcome to the forum. Are the speakers connected to the Saffire? I know, a dumb question but I gotta ask. There are some software settings I have to make in my Saffire to hear the recording mix. I'm assuming your Focusrite mixer and it's functions are similar to mine. You also need to set it to where you want to monitor from, speakers or headphones, I think. To monitor the recording and playback simultaneously, I have to set the interface to Track mode in the mixer.

In SONAR Options>Audio>Drivers, what do you have selected? I have them all selected except the S/PDIF port.

you shouldn't have ASIO4ALL enabled for the saffire. the saffire has native ASIO drivers.

And delete ASIO4All from your computer before installing the Focusrite ASIO driver. Very important.

Well, using the Focusrite ASIO driver is not for fixing your problem; it's for best audio production and low latency from the Saffire. Sorry if there was a misunderstanding. ASIO4All is for interfaces that don't have native ASIO drvers available. Does the Saffire 6 have a software mixer that you use to set inputs and outputs?

i can record vocals and see the soundwaves .. but the recording is silent there is NO SOUND Do you mean you can't hear it while it's recording, or you can't hear it after it's recorded, or both? According to the Focusrite site, there is a knob on the front to balance the playback and recording output levels so you can hear what's being recorded. And there's a push button to select main mix or cue mix. If you can't hear it after it's recorded, make sure the track has a valid output. Not S/PDIF, for instance, if you don't have a S/PDIF device.

Rezin603 ok so i tried and it still isnt working .. im going to try to update the WDM driver what do you mean by "update the WDM driver?" that location I gave you to download the drivers is ONE file, but it has WDM and ASIO drivers in it. you CHOOSE which driver you use by selecting WDM or ASIO in SONAR' DRIVER MODE selection.
