Lexicon omega USB interface and MC5

A question or two if i may? I have now got myself a decent microphone.. a Samson Q7 for vocals. Now i am hoping to get a Lexicon Omega Studio USB interface so i can hook my guitar and bass, keyboard and microphone into it , then i will plug the Omega into a USB port on my PC so i can record easily on my PC. 1.Can you foresee any problems with this set up? 2. Will i have to install a free of separate piece of software to act as an amplifier for my guitar and bass or can i just jack their cables into the instrument sockets on the Omega and record straight away? 3. Do you think the omega is a good piece of kit? Jason King UK

A lot of folks use the Omega and other Lexicon boxes.
You can plug your guitar or bass into it and record like that. But not at the same time; there's only 1 guitar input. MC has a couple guitar amp sims if you want to add effects.

I noticed that there's only 1 instrument input, but I think you can probably use one of the MIC inputs as a guitar/bass input as well.  there's a pad on them.

I think Acme Bar Gig is a free guitar sim.  Plus you got one with MC5 that has some good sounds if you are not using an amplifier with a speaker....or a POD.
