Soft slow midi phrases in Session drummer 3. Writing soft music, and everything seems loud

I am writing a song for a friend that passed. The song is at 120 bpm, but soft. I am a guitarist, and can play KB's a little (little), are there any softer midi loops/phrases in sonar to accommodate? everything seems so high strung.

Also, session drummer 3 is not playing audio in the media browser, a different VST instrument is, how do I assign it to SD3?

    I found what I was looking for in groove monkey rock. I guess I was looking for soft rock, or ballad. isnt there more soft and subtle stuff though. still this worked great.

    I like the drum sounds i have. is this wav's or midi, i just want some new midi stuff really without spending too much
