What to do about my signature

Now that my H. Simpson quote / signature has been pirated and used as a thread starter … and then further adulterated (or bapu-ized) should I find another quote to use? … or am I just being too sensitive.  I’ve been using that one for a couple of years and I think it is really representative.

Any thoughts?

I suggest you write a song about the ladies who frequent the Coffee House and Song forum then add in a somewhat derogatory verse about X1. Put a link to it in your signature, and leave it there for all time.

Keep your sig man. As with all threads, it will be forgotten soon enough and then who will guide us to be one with Homer?

Throw some Becan at Bapu and steal your sig back when he dives for it.

    From the same episode...

Grand Funk Railroad paved the way for Jefferson airplane, which cleared the way for Jefferson starship. The stage was now set for the Alan Parsons project, which I believe was some sort of hovercraft.
    Homer Simpson

Homer: Pftt... Rules. I'm a rocker, I don't care for rules.
Vet: Mr. Simpson, this is serious. If you take one more cannonball to the gut, you will die.
Homer: Die? Well, you don't scare me, doc, 'cause dying would be a stone groove. Got any messages for Jimi Hendrix?
Vet: Yes: "Pick up your puppy."

Mr. Burns: [chuckles] And to think, Smithers: you laughed when I bought TicketMaster. "Nobody's going to pay a 100% service charge."
Smithers: Well, it's a policy that ensures a healthy mix of the rich and the ignorant, sir.

I'd say keep Homer until you find something better and then change. You don't have to be in a rush. It may be a tall order--finding something better may take a while.

Should auld acquaintance be forgot--hey, who the hell are you guys?

Your signature attained perfection when you started using this particular one.

What could you replace it with?

    Dave,

Sometimes life imitates your signature and sometimes you signature imitates life.

You can't argue with Science.  Well, you can, but Science just stands there with its fingers in its ears and yelling, "I can't hear you!".  Science also pretends it can't read lips, interpret gestures, or understand plain English.  Science also gets a mite irritable when someone attempts to defy its laws.

Science is that nerdy kid who always got picked last in dodgeball, who then built a life size fully functional Death Star and pointed it at his grade school.  The only thing saving all of us from his wrath is the fact that he's still having difficulty constructing a real working light sabre and he gets tangled up in his long black robe.

    Hope that helps.
