X1 and audiosnap, stupid question

Hi!

...getting my X1 running, i feel a bit stupid about not finding what i "have always found". This one on audiosnap (which i have used in earlier versions of Sonar):

Task: I want to move a few transients on a clip..

I open the audiosnap palette, click the actual clip, then "enable audiosnap on selected clips"... but then... nothing? lol...

Where are the markers? Where is the transient marker tool? I see .... nothing...

......... and please dont judge me too hard :D ... i HAVE browsed the manual, but i just dont get it...

cheers
Bengt

You need to select Audio Transients in the Edit Filter (which is the combo box that normally displays "Clips")

    Thanks!

For four minutes more i was lost again, browsing the "Clips" and "Clip" tab... but now i found it.

I guess "Edit Filter" is one of many new buttons / features to learn ... Does this mean that the cursor is locked in "Audiosnap Marke Mode" as long as <Edit Filter> is set to "Audio Transients"?

Thanx again. I dont think I would have found that one without asking, so maybe the question wasnt so stupid after all:)

you can also edit transients by selecting AUDIO SNAP window by just pressing A with a clip selected, and on that audio snap window you choose EDIT CLICK MAP button. Don't know why this seems more natural for me than browsing on the Edit Filter to find Audio Transients....

Yes that is the way the edit filter works. IMHO a great feature. It locks to whatever you have selected, particularly helpful when editing envelopes and there's loads of them. No more clicking and moving the wrong envelope, or moving the clip. I used to tear my hair out in previous versions.

Access by pressing "T" or middle mouse click. Shift clicking on envelopes/clips also changes selection.

Thanx for input. And yea, i think i like it allready. In fact i just edited some envelope as well, though it took me some additional minutes to just "add a node"... there is no "right click-add node" anymore... but sometimes the helpfile is indeed useful.

Hehe, i know about that tear my hair-thing from the earlier life... ...

Dede; hey that was another way around. But it didnt really open the same thingy? In my environment it will show the snap markers (and the click map?), but the cursor dont become the "edit marker tool"... Easy way to get there though.

    Cheers ppl:)
    And excuse my swenglish again

though it took me some additional minutes to just "add a node"...

Double click or Alt+click to add nodes.

There is some real nifty improvements especially things like adding nodes at selection, adjusting the whole envelope, etc. The top third of the clip is a hot spot for many things.
