Another Step Sequencer question

How do change the octave of my notes en masse instead of changing each note one at a time? Thanks for your replies.

All the best,
Lynn

AFAIK from within the step sequencer you can't. You can do it by using the Key +/- control on the MIDI track that the SS clip is on though. However that changes the audio output by an octave, not the assigned note which may or not be the desired result.

Yes, I discovered that. But, it is time consuming to go through each note and raise them a couple of octaves to get them in the range you want to use. Especially if your pattern covers more than one octave. I was hoping there was some magical Ctrl-click or Alt-click secret that could capture all of the notes in your pattern and change them en masse. Thanks again for your help earlier in the day.

Bounce the SS clip to a MIDI clip, select all the notes and drag to where you need them? If desired, converting back to an SS clip afterwards.

Wow, so simple and so elegant. That being said, one more button that could select the octave range of the pattern notes would also be simple and elegant. I shall submit a feature request.
