octa-capture turned off by itself during session - I don't like soft power switch...

That's was kinda scary because if it happened during real recording session I could have problems.
I could power it back on right away but still...I thought immediately I prefer hardware power switch like in my VS100.
Another think I thought was this auto-power off feature which is set by default to 4 hours,
how that works? does it turn off power after time out no matter what you're doing? That would be bad.
I changed that thing to off and we'll see. Anyway this shutting down event happened when I turned on device
just after I let it cool down it a little bit so it was no way close to 4 hours. Not good.

I've read that in the manual about the power shutting down but I've never had it happen. I know because I've left it on, left the computer, got sidetracked and did not get back to it for over 5 hours and it was still  on. I wonder why your's shut off and mine won't.

Maybe mine is a female and yours is a male. lol!

I was refering to women. You can't get them to stop sometimes.  Please feel free to not make those assumptions.
