Rapture version numbers
Anyone know, what is the version number of the first Rapture. Not LE. is it 1.0, or 1.1..? I've got a folder with all kinds of different version numbers. Don't know where to start with install. And, since I bought Rapture, when I install Sonar, should I deselect Rapture-LE? Or, is there data in there that isn't in Rapture? Thanks

Timidi, I've got plan ole Rapture set up, doesn't have a number. File# is 0.00 The second one w/ a number is 1.10 with the same # I leave LE in. I've never really used it except to see if it works. Wish I could be more help - I think all the Rapt varities are on my music computer which I can't get to at this moment. @

And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.

Well - according to the serial number on the original box I have it is version 1.00. I really don't know if later versions where download updates only, or if they where boxed at a later date too. Love that synth anyway.. Oh - and you do not have to disable or de-install LE. They happily live side by side. Anyway - I won't get rid of LE because it is used in some older projects, and it is annoying to get the message that a synth is missing (no - unfortunately the LE version in older projects don't automatically "translate" to the full version).

Hi Timidi.... The first Rapture was version 1.0, but you don't need to install it, as version 1.1 is a full installer by itself... so in short: Install version 1.1 first, then, on top of it, you may install the last update (v1.2.2)... no need to install intermediate versions....... Far as Rapture LE, it doesn't contain neither common nor additional data for Rapture.... and as JClosed suggested, it's only needed if you have projects with it.... anyway it can do no harm..... bye....

It is a question of selecting the right vst plugins installation folders... for both 32 (x86) and 64 bit versions..... Execerpt from Cakewalk support: On the "VST Folder - Browse to where your previously installed VST plug-ins are located" window, click the [Browse...] button and select the parent folder that Rapture is installed to. NOTE: Do not select the Rapture folder itself. The default location Rapture installs to is C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins For 32-bit Rapture on a 64-bit OS, the default location is C:\Program Files (x86)\Cakewalk\Vstplugins If you have installed Rapture to a custom location, select the parent folder that your Rapture plug-in folder is installed to.... Anyway, if you want detailed full infos: http://www.cakewalk.com/S...b/reader.aspx/20090428 http://www.cakewalk.com/S...reader.aspx/2007013167

Thanks Steve. I finally got em loaded. The install instructions and the install app sure aren't too user friendly. Actually, it's just all LAZY. Like I said in another thread, the 1.2.1 installer is replaced by the 1.2.2 installer. At least that's how it appears. They don't tell you that. How much effort would it take for someone at Cakewalk to at least update the links with an explanation at least that the updates are cumulative. or remove the 1.2.1. Whatever. Thanks for the help Steve. Appreciate it.

Ok, so I look in "programs and features" and the only 'Rapture' that is listed is Rapture 1.1 I was looking for the uninstall for z3ta+ (which wasn't there) and that is what I came up with. Once again I'm at a loss. On Rapture and Z3ta+. The update directions say to uninstall Z3ta+. So, where do I do that. I had Rapture 1.22 loaded in Sonar????????

...the reason why you see only Rapture v1.1 listed in "program and features" is because the system, in this case, as it happens at times for some software, recalls the first version installed... but rest assured you have v1.2.2 installed, if you did so... ...you may check anyway by clicking on the Rapture logo on the Synth GUI... it will show version and serial number.... ...far as Z3ta+, check in the Program Files installation folder to find the uninstaller file, it should be named "unins000"... just double-click to uninstall... ...if you don't find it, you have to perform a file search for all files named 'Z3TA+*.dll', and delete them manually... This of course applies if you have Z3ta+ versions 1.0 or 1.5 already installed, and want to update to v1.5.3.... as the latest version (1.5.3) can be installed by itself on new systems... ...come on, mate.... ya can get it fixed right....

As there is no 32/64 option. This seems logical to me. But, I'm assuming that rapture 1.1 is a 64 synth since the default directory is C:/program files/etc. So, I have to bitbridge it in Sonar 32? Thanks for the help.
