SX1c - Stereo Loops
What is the procedure to create a loop when a file looks like this: stereoLoop There i not an instance in the wave where both sides cross 0 ath the same time.

It looks like you may have some DC offset. That may not be the case but it also could be.

Just do it. The first question would be... what's going on at the other edge of the clip? Maybe it will match at the loop point. If you like the loop and it has a click-pop at it's edge because of something like this you may use a very quick fade in at the edge. You can place the fades. Bounce to clip. Set the clip to groove loop. Enjoy! best regards, mike

mike_mccue D.C. offset????????? LMAO. You don't see it Mike? I guess you find it funny. In the bottom or right channel the frequency never crosses 0 dB. What would you call it?

mike_mccue I see 27 sample points in a data set. All that matters is if there is a cycle and there appears to be one. You don't know what the frequency is nor do I but it doesn't look right to me but maybe to you its just fine, though. That maybe why the OP can't find a 0 crossing. But then you know so much Mike.

"All that matters is if there is a cycle and there appears to be one. You don't know what the frequency is" You are looking at some small portion of some polyphonic voicing with all it's overtones and such. These are entirely typical results and the appearance of the drawing is familiar to anyone who works with audio and views waveform drawings at the sample level. The point is, there is absolutely zero need to know what the *frequency*, as you call it, is. Nor is there a need to know the sample rate. Furthermore, just to be clear... because you seem intent on confusing the issue... the overtones that you have pointed out are never going to be centered on the waveform drawing's "0" axis... they are "overtones".

@ mike_mccue indeed there is a POP, I'll try your suggestion. I did try adding a tiny fade to remove the POP, but never bounced the track and tried to re-loop.

You'd definitely want to bounce with the fade in place first to give you a "clean slate" for looping.

Ever since setting my recording bit depth to 32bits, I haven't had any pops or clicks.
