a quick cover

Hey Everyone! I'm new to the forum and I just wanted to post this up and get some feedback. It sounds a bit thin to me but every time I try to fatten it up along comes the mud...any suggestions? http://soundcloud.com/dennyp/thankyou

Hi Denny, nice song, vocals are excellent ! Guitar is fine but  I would put some reverb on the piano and add a couple of bass notes  or maybe transpose the piano an octave down.

Sounds good on these cheap speakers.

Vocal pitch sounds a bit wobbly in places.  Aside from that, this sounds pretty good. Nice & clean and clear.

You don't provide any info on what you have and what you're using to record this.... but my final touch is Ozone 4. (Mastering suite)

I've not heard this before..... you said it's a cover right?

Thanks guys, morenoise: Ill try adding a cello for the bass notes maybe that will thicken it up a little.--------------- Guitarhacker: I was thinking of rerecording the vocals, at some parts, you can hear the clicks of my midi keyboard! As far as my gear, Im using a Blue Spark into a focusrite saffire 24dsp. This is all in Sonar X1 producer and the piano is the Truepianos instrument that comes with sonar. My guitar is going through Guitar Rig 5 Pro. The song is from the early 90s from a christian artist named Cindy Morgan. I recently upgraded my recording gear and this song popped into my head! that's why I called it a quick cover =)
