Exported file much longer than original project length?

My project is about 4 minutes in length, but when I export it, then exported file is 6 minutes long. How do I have it export up until the last clip in the project finishes playing? Do I just have to manually select from the begining to where I want the export to stop in my project before exporting?

Highlight the timeline that you want exported after selecting the track(s) and it will export exactly what you highlight and select

check for a midi/audio event past where you think your end point is.

See that's the thing--I did check, and there are no events at all after my supposed end point. No automation activity either (except the dotted lines of course)

Hit Ctrl+End. and the Now time will go to exactly where SONAR thinks the endpoint is. That might help you find whatever is out there. Must be something there. My guess would be one more stray automation node.

Just tried this, and found nothing at all at the ctrl+end position. No stray node, just dotted automation lines.

Check for muted layers that go past the active layer.  I have had that cause the problem.  It usually was with midi files where on layer clip extended past but didn't show up in the track view clip length.

have you tried selecting and splitting all tracks at your end point and deleting anything that might appear after it.
