New toy

I just hate controlling the volume of my active monitors from within the software.
Getting up and going round the back of each of the monitors and then counting the number of clicks i alter the volume of each of them is a pita too..


So I got me a TC Electronic Level Pilot

which is effectively just a big knob (although not quite as big as I expected) wired up to 2 pairs of XLR cables.

At last I can leave everything else @ 0dB and when the phone rings turn it all down.

    Nice. Saw that one a while ago. Don't think I'd drill a hole for the wires in my antique desk though. :s

    An included remote control for near-fields... is a beautiful thing.

    there is another thing.. that looks like that thing BUT it's usb. griffin powermate. Someone on here was using it as a jog wheel + volume IRC

    I have the TC 48 w/ the remote.  It works well.

    I had a friend that had one in his b-studio.  When his ssl was out for service in the A room he used it.  For $75 or so it does punch above its weight.
