Help! Problems Sonar Home Studio 6

I need help if anyone can help please please!I have sonar home studio 6 and a new behringer mixer. I had an alesis mixer and everything worked fine, every since I got the new mixer I am experiencing delay. I think it could be a delay in latency, I'm not sure though. It sounds fine coming thru the mic, but after recording I play the vocals back, and I get a delay and almost a skipping in the vocals.

Also now I played with my audio settings and I am getting dropout every 10 seconds...how do I stop dropout?

Audio Driver Bit Depth - 16
Sampling Rate - 44100

    what soundcard do you have?

your "buffer size" is way to high for low latency.  that should be below 10msec for low latency monitoring.  but it depends on your soundcard if you can get that low or not.

Sorry update, I believe I have solved my feedback problem and my dropout problem...now my problem is delay in the recording. I record my vocals over the backtracking, but when I play them back they are not in rhythm. My vocals are behind the backtracking. Any suggestions?

My sound card can't handle such a low rate...as soon as I lower the buffer size, I receive dropouts instantly.

Would you mind telling us your gear and software specs?? We can't give you suggestions if we have no idea what we're dealing with. Are you using the Behringer as a soundcard, or are you using the computers integrated chip?

Put them in your signature, it's very practical.

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.

And which Behringer mixer did you get? Is it also an audio interface?
Sometimes we'll search for info on the equipment, maybe even download the manual in order to help. The more info you give us, the better we can help.

Use ASIO mode instead of WDM.
