Are we Happy campers?
There is a distinct air about the whole forum that the answer to the above is a resounding No!
Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain. Karma has a way of finding its own way home.

I am John. I got the stuff I was waiting for and got your frets dressed and polished. :) Lot of bad things going on in the world so it is probably having an effect on folks even if they're not envolved. Everytime I get upset like the Gov messin' with Gibson I stop and think that I don't know eveything about it...and let it slide. I guess there's a good side to not knowing much. Maybe folks are to smart for their own good?

I don't camp ('cept on Philz and Mooch's couches*) but I'm happy. *Brother Grant gave me a bed.

Hmm, if most of us cannot be outside camping, I guess most of us wouldn't be happy campers. More seriously, one of the things I like about the CH is it is (generally) much more light-hearted and actually fun compared to "upstairs".

I would venture a ..... "Yes" ..... and I love camping... in the woods, in the mountains, but slightly less at the beach.... that is, until it's time to pack up the RV and head home..... that means it time to go to the dump station... not a happy time.

I love camping. When I say "camping", I do not mean sleeping outdoors. I also don't mean any actual activity. I should clarify that my statement regarding a love of camping does not necessarily include or exclude half known campfire songs or severely charred hot dogs. I should also amend my statement to exclude snake filled outhouses. While I am as fond of Pork 'N' Beans as the next camper, repeating a certain scene from Blazing Saddles too often can cause oxygen deprivation. So, when I say I love camping, I mean I love taking naps indoors in my own bed. After ingesting a large pot of Pork 'N' Beans, of course.

I love the outdoors and nature (in the day time), but would never "camp out" at night in the woods. I don't think I could protect my twinkies (let alone myself) from a hungry bear. Nevertheless, I'm very happy.

I suppose if "we" were just the folks down here then I would have to venture a yes for the most part. Upstairs I'm not so sure. If I am part of the "we" then I'm doin' fine. There's plenty of food in my fridge. My bills are all paid up. I'm healthy as far as I know. I'm gainfully employed.I live in a free country. My house is comfortable. I have good friends/family. I get to make music in the evenings, and my future is so bright I need sunglasses. Do I get down sometimes? Sure I do but that ain't now and even when it happens, it won't change the fact that things are good.

Jonbouy Wookiee Are we Happy campers? No, I'm a miserable *&^%er. <message edited by Jonbouy on 2 hrs. ago> Similarly is good to know that your situation is as normal and unchanged. Starise: If you are in the CH by choice I think that inclusion in the 'we' is default. Mesh: Whilst I am only aware of twinkes because of Tom & Jerry your concerns are understandable. Herb: Good to know you are happy. Mark: Read and understood your small but understated plug will go listen shortly.
