Arturia plugins don't show up in Sonar 8.5 64 bit

I can't get the demo of the Arturia Jupiter to show up in Sonar 8.5 64 bit. It does seem to work in 32 bit Sonar.

Does anyone have the Arturia plugs working under 64 bit Sonar?

    32 bit plug ins won't run under 64 bit without using something like BITBRIDGE. Try the x1 forum as there are many more members there to give details, I still use 32 bit so have no experience,, just have read lots of post about it try searching.

    @Luckey Man

    There should not be any problems with the stuff in Komplete 6. Most of its is 64 bit in any case. If its not working you are doing something wrong.

    @Giannis

    I have had some of the Auturia plug in demos working using the default Bitbridge (I did not try the Jupiter) Bitbridge is totally transparent to the user so I do not think its a fundamental problem, just something to do with the scan paths.

    Did you re-run the scans in 64 bit Sonar? there will be two seprerate applications and it would make sense if the plugin managers were totally independent. I only ever had the 64 bit version of 8.5 installed so I can't say for sure.

    I can't even get the Arturia plugs to show up in the Plug In Manager, in either Sonar 8.5 64 bit or Sonar X1 64 bit.

    I recall having the same problem when trying the MiniMoog.

    I've tried rescanning multiple times and the plug just won't appear anywhere. Only in Sonar 32 bit.

    some plugins won't work in 64bit even with bitbridge or j-bridge unless there was an update from the manufacturer to fix a 64bit compatibility issue.  I don't know if Arturia is one of those companies or not, I don't have any Arturia myself.

    first, make sure you go to their website and see if there are any updates that you don't have.

    then check in the plugin manager and see if you can find the ones you're looking for and see if they are disabled or if they are not in the menu for whatever reason.

    I downloaded the Jupiter  8 Demo and installed everything to the default locations. Initally it did not show up. I checked the Program files (x86) folder and found what I addumed to be the VST DLL  Jupiter-8V2.dll in the root location. I moved that to my 32 bit VST folder and scanned. Still no joy.

    Checking in program files (x86) I found the Arturia folder also containd a DLL Jupiter-8V2.dll. I added the Arturia Folder to plugin managers scan paths and it works.  Both DLLs are the same size, go figure.

    I hope this helps.

    N.B. I am not using the DAW in my signature but a laptop with Win 7 64 bit installed and crappy on board sound.

    As an aside, what a hoo ha the licencing process is!
