Sonar X1 can not install Homegrown Ammonite vsti

Sonar X1 can not install Homegrown Ammonite vsti

Hi audio friends, I have downloaded the demo version of Vsti Ammonite from Homegrown but since it has no .exe file but .dll file, I had to extract the folder to Sonar Vst folder. But when Sonar is running the Vst Scan process it detects an error and doesn't load that Vsti. I have tried as a admin privileges since I am running Win 7 32 and also have moved the Ammonite folder to another location and no sucess. Anyone have tried that Vsti from Homegrown? any help please? thank you very much. best regards

    go to preferences vst, check "re-scan failed plug-ins" and that should do it

      I have tried it several times and didn't solve the issue.

    @pwal, you meant the developer of the vsti? Yes, and he did know of any issue between Cakewalk and his Ammonite Vsti. We have tried changing the folder location and running with Admin privileges but no sucess. thx

    I haven`t tried in another host. I only use Sonar. It is just a very small demo with some folders and .dll and without an .exe I think it is a bug btw Homegrown and cakewalk sonar. The support says it work great with Reaper though. It seems that nobody here have tried it yet. @ ampfixer, I have tried more downloads and there was no problem with the downloads. They say it is a great vsti just released. Too bad we can`t try it out. thx

    I think there is something to do with the Synthedit technology that is behind Ammonite, there are lots of threads saying that it crashes with sonar.

    get the free minihost from here http://www.tobybear.de/p_minihost.html to try it in another host; just because it's synthedit doesn't mean it won't work

    @pwal, Yes, it works with minihost without problem! There is an incompatibility between Homegrown Ammonite and Cakewalk Sonar. Maybe I can use minihost via rewire with Sonar? Thank you very much for your help pwal. Please let me know if I can help you. Best Regards

    minihost doesn't do rewire unfortunately, but you may be able to sub-host it in something like http://vstboard.blogspot.com/ or http://www.ctaf.free.fr/d...ku.php?id=meslogiciels - good luck!
