Thinking of moving from Sonar 7 - X1
Hey all, I'm still using Sonar 7 PE, but want to try out X1. I have been using Reaper and am a little swayed by it, but I'd be remiss if I didn't compare it to Sonar's latest, so I wanted to install the demo and have a proper mess around but before I do, just wondering if this would interfere with my existing Sonar(7)...?

No, if you just accept all the default options for installation, it will install side by side.

I assume John T is correct, because installs of each of the regular versions go into their own folders, and it reasonable to assume the demo would also. This is a helpful feature for SONAR, since you can continue to run older versions if you prefer.

Yes, I routinely switch between 8.5 and X1c without any problems whatsoever, so you won't get bitten by installing the demo

Thanks guys... Using the trial, I can see why you move between projects now! Not sure about this new GUI, but the Pro channel's a sexy slice of awesome cake.

Yeah it's a big step from S7 that's for sure.... enjoy, you won't want to go back once you get the hang of the workflow. Cheers.
