The Tragedy
Hi everyone. I finished yet another song. I'm on a roll... WOOHOO! This song is called "The Tragedy" and is part six of the nightmare. On my Reverbnation page, if you click the Lyrics link for each song, it gives you a short summary of the events that take place during the song. Here's the link to my Reverbnation page: Reverbnation It's the song called "The Tragedy". The second part of the song is a bit emotional as that's when the "tragedy" takes place. This song isn't as heavy as the previous few. There are lots of "off" notes in this tune that really adds to the weirdness, especially during the second half of the song with the piano where it's the most noticable. Enjoy!

Blissy, I'm listening now.... I like the more aggressive drums? But still not quite aggressive enough (IMO) More compression, more reverb? More dual compression, etc... All of the fun things you do with drums? :-)

Yeah... I need to work on the drums yet, among other things... . My brother is going to be mastering all of the songs on the album once it's complete. For now, I did apply some mastering myself, but the low end does need some work. I'll see what I can do, but I've just been so focused on crankin' out the tunes right now. The album is half done!

epic and superb as ever...you really are the best programmer of realistic guitar lines...still would like to hear vocals, this song in particular would work well with a powerful metal voice...but the synths combine really well, nothing is overpowering the guitars but blending well. be cool to hear the album once you're done!

Luke, this was wonderful. You have a very special talent my friend. The way you make everything fit together is perfection. I loved everything about this track. The piano towards the ending was particularly nice. Got to recommend you on my reverbnation page for sure. Thanks for the ear candy. Mark.

@mgh - Thanks Mark! Wow, thanks for the huge compliment! Although I wish I knew how to play the real guitar, I'll settle for programming them for now . If I could sing and had the equipment to record vox, I'd probably attempt it. Although the plan for this album is for the music to tell the story with short descriptions that I provide. Ultimately I'll write a novel for the complete story. So far it's all up in my head... . Hope to finish this album soon! @mstodge - Thanks Mark! Thank you for the kind words! I tell ya, sometimes I don't know how I do it... it's like, suddenly there it is. I'm glad you enjoyed this. In regards with the piano, I'm not sure if you are talking about the piano during the transition from rockin' to sadness or if you are referring to the lead guitar that comes in during the sad part and plays through to the end.

@CLEAN - Thanks Mark! @Janet - Thanks Janet! I'm glad you enjoyed this and were impressed... . It's themed a little different than the rest of the songs. I think it blended well!
