Soanr 6pe stops recording & says dropout in red
What makes this happen. it never happened with my soanr 5pe. It's been happening regularly in 6 but I don't hear any audio dropouts the software just stops recording.

You could well be suffering from a lack of RAM.
2GB isn't a huge amount, even for 6PE
Try freezing any soft synth parts that are finished

check your latency buffer settings. you may need to increase it.
also, if you have a wireless internet on the motherboard make sure it's off. turn off the internet completely while using sonar and disable anti-virus (make sure you remember to turn it back on before enabling the internet again).
some drivers will interfere with your soundcard drivers in sonar such as webcams, TV tuners, etc.

Thanks guys. I have no internet on my recording pc nor do I have any plugs going right not. 2Gb is the max for this pc. I forgot I changed my latency to a fast setting (2.9) when I was messing with recording soft synth plugs and never changed them back to a safer setting. I just adjusted them and it seems to be working thus far. Thanks for the help!
