Having Import Problem w/ Music Creator 6
so my issue with Music Creator 6 which I bought yesterday via download is this: I'm trying to import my own mp3 files into the program and do vocal recording over them. It work yesterday, but today, it doesn't. When I do try to import music, a window pops up that says "Out of Memory". I don't know what that means or how that's possible considering I just bought it yesterday, but considering this is the primary reason I bought the program, I am beyond irritated. Can anybody help me out? does anyone know why it would ever say Out of Memory when trying to import music files that are not big at all? Especially considering the fact that it worked perfectly just yesterday? I'm running the program on a windows 7 64-bit

frozen.... welcome. Tell us more about the computer and sound card. W-7/64 and MC6 should be a good fit.... the soundcard or driver mode might be an issue. If you are on a lappy or a desktop with a factory soundcard, you probably need to use the MME driver. You should be able to drag and drop an mp3 into an audio track without issues and it should play. MP3's will not run you out of memory.... something else is happening.

I had that recently as well. It had to do with the way that the mp3 was encoded, so I had to open it with Goldwave (I think Audacity would work as well) and save it as a wave file, then open it in sonar/MC.

Coincidentally, I happened to read the FAQ, or something, last week about the 'out of memory' message. In many cases, it's because the file you're trying to import is copy-protected (encoded, as Beagle wrote). Let me see if I can find that thread again. BRB.
