BUG REPORT - Remote control - Mute button lights up but nothing happens

1) Record and play back a piano part (soft synth track).

2) With the transport stopped, press a key on your MIDI keyboard that you didn't play earlier.
3) Right click mute button for that same piano track
4) Click Remote Control
5) Click Learn
6) Click OK
7) Observe your MIDI note controls the mute button (the button flashes on and off).
8) Make sure mute button is off so you can hear the track
9) Now play the track
10) Hit the learned MIDI key a few times
EXPECTED
a) Mute button changes colour everytime key is hit
b) Sound goes on and off depending whether it is muted or not, every time the key is hit
ACTUAL
(a) but not (b),the track just plays on uneffected

Sell by date at 9000 posts. Do not feed.
@48/24 & 128 buffers latency is 367 with offset of 38.

    Have you confirmed it happens with more than one synth? Does the mute button work reliably if operated directly with the mouse? I use remote control to mute the metronome bus, and it works perfectly, but I've never tried it with a Simple Instrument track. And I didn't use Learn; I set it up manually to use a specific Note On. I'm wondering if maybe you have both the Note On and Note Off assigned to the mute...?

    Hi Brundlefly

    Yes it worked fine with a mouse.

    The steps to repro the issue are accurate with multiple soft synths. Like I said the mute button light worked but nothing was going on with the sound. In no cases would I expect the mute light to be indicating the wrong thing.

    Today however I can't reproduce.. I even checked with Note On/Off and just Note On and it worked as designed,.... must be something else going on.... further research required methinks...
