Looking for Studio Experts!!!

I'm new to Sonar X1 Studio and have a couple of questions in hopes to help me out.
 
1. I've been trying to fix tracks by drag and drop method but it just seems to take forever to get it just right.  Sometimes I get so frustrated I find it easier to just start over and record the whole thing until I get it right.  What is the secret?  It has to be simple.
 
2. I'm looking for a good vocal harmonizer that will works with Sonar Studio.  I have Windows 7 on my CP.  I need 1-4 part harmonies.

I like the TC Helicon stuff.

on the wrong notes.... audio or midi?  each gets edited differently.

For audio, zoom in on the note that is wrong or better yet, the musical phrase. Try to find a silent place before it and after it. Split the clip in both places.... highlight the clip with the bad note and set your punch in point ON that clip... then back up the timeline and click record. Start playing along or singing with the music..... when X1 gets to the punch point it will start recording and stop recording at the exact place to re-do the clip..... One additional thing... Once I get the punch points set I will delete just that one little clip I'm going to replace. 

for midi... just select the track and then open the Staff view or the Piano Roll view, whichever you like better and simply find the bad note and drag it to where it should be. Right clicking the note opens the note properties where you can alter the velocity and the duration as well as the starting and ending points of the note. 

Yup... I have, more than one time, done exactly that... copy a whole chorus and paste it rather than trying to fix something gone wrong.... harder to do on a verse if it involves lyrics.... but the music will paste over the bad parts just fine. 

Use the clip properties to get the paste exactly right.
