Included loops or tracks in Music Creator LE 5 ?
Hello lovely cakewalk community . As you can see , I am fresh out the womb when it comes to this stuff . I just bought that handy USB cable from target to connect my guitar to a computer and it came with this Cakewalk Music Creator LE 5 (i believe) software . I've been messing around with it for a bit and it seems pretty sweet . One question I do have is are there any included loops or tracks or anything to that nature ? Like maybe a drum beat or a baseline to go along with something I record .. And if so , how do I access them ?

There are tons of MIDI drum patterns with the regular version of MC; there should be some with LE, too. You'll have to learn a little about MIDI, though.

If you open the Loop Explorer, you can preview the drum patterns and if you like them, you can double-click them and they'll be pasted into whichever MIDI track you have selected at the point where the 'Now' line is at.

Learning MIDI and soft synths would be a good idea. So much music these days is MIDI based.

what these guys are saying is correct. and I'm pretty sure the LE version does not come with any audio loops, but the full version comes with some.

One of the problems I see with loops that included with a program..... they are easy to use to get started.... but remember, everyone with the program has the same loops so they all start to sound alike (the songs) after a while.

Not really herb, it's all down to you and what you do with them, esp if they are things like say recycled (RX2) loops... think of a loop like a cooking ingredient... say a tomato.. you can use it for soup, pasta sauce etc etc. if you have say RXP , you take the midi in, not the audio.. and move around the slices , that was you can easily get 16-32 bar loop WITH variations that won't sound same. or layer 2 loops and take the highs off one, and use the other more as percussion. The timing will fit easier if it's decently sliced RX2 loops. Although some producers will use the loops to make sketches and get a real drummer into replay it, just incase the odd chance the loop isn't as clean copyright wise as it should be
