Step sequencer 2.0 and SD3 problem

Hi guys, I have a project opened up in Sonar X1 Producer with Session Drummer 3 routed to 5 different tracks as I followed in a Cakewalk tutorial however, when I click on the step sequencer button in the Synth box, it opens step sequencer 2.0 as it should but the drums aren't routed to the tracks on the left. I only get Notes from C3 through the scale and when I click on the steps I don't hear any drums? Can someone please help so I can get the drum names etc.. Snare, Bass, to show up on the left as they should so I can start programming drum tracks? Thanks in advance guys..
