Cakewalk Time/Pitch Stretch 2 does not appear at all.

Cakewalk Time/Pitch Stretch 2 does not appear at all.

Windows 7 64 bit, Sonar X1c 64 bit only:
 
1) Observe that Cakewalk Time/Pitch Stretch 2 does not appear in any plugin layout if you attempt to add to FX bin.
 
2) Start Plug In manager (Manage Layouts) - Observe Cakewalk Time/Pitch Stretch 2 is present (observe the filename is C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\SONAR X1 Producer\Stretch.ax), add to layout and save
 
3) Observe that Cakewalk Time/Pitch Stretch 2 STILL does not appear in any plugin layout if you attempt to add to FX bin.
 
4) Edit the layout in plugin manager. Notice Cakewalk Time/Pitch Stretch 2 appears to be present, however for some reason the filename states <No plug-in selected> rather than C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\SONAR X1 Producer\Stretch.ax
 
5) Cancel and quit Sonar. 
 
NOW - Attempt to work around this!
 
6) From a Command Prompt at administrator level, type C:\Windows\system32>regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\SONAR X1 Producer\Stretch.ax"
 
7) Observe file is successfully registered
 
8) Attempt to repeat steps 1 to 4 with a new instance of Sonar.
 
9) Observe no change.

    If its 32 bit DX plugin 64 bit Sonar will not support it. You can try a DX to VST wrapper and see it that works.

    Wouldd you mind explaining a little more? (Does Sonar supply such a facility or do I look elsewhere?). Not attempted this before.

    BTW

    Funnily enough if you register the DLL as explained in the original post, it will then appear as a destructive effect (right click on clip -> process effect -> Audio effects -> Cakewalk).

    I use one with FX 3 Sound Stage and it works. I got this one DX Shell. What it does is make a DX plugin work as a VST which can be used under Bitbridge. It wont make it 64 bits. Its free.
