Guitar Rig LE (Sonar X1 64bit) how to get components?

I have just installed X1 64bit on my new laptop and made sure everything I installed was selected as 64bit also, including GR4.

I registered Guitar Rig on the NI site, no problem.

Now when I try use it, there are no presets, no components, nothing.

The manual says, running it in demo mode will reveal ALL components and this is indeed the case.

The manual say you will get only a subset of the components in normal mode, depending on license. It does not specifically mention the Sonar license, but NO COMPONENTS AT ALL is surely not right.

I looked up other threads on this subject and they suggested starting in stand-alone mode and doing a rescan. Does not change anything.

NI website does not mention Sonar either.

My machine is a new i7 Acer with Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit.

Sonar Producer X1 is the first thing I installed on it.

You need to download the latest update for it from NI's website, use the "Service Center" program that installs with Guitar Rig and you'll get all the presets

I looked at the NI website, but saw no Sonar or GT4 LE updates to download.

I have dialup internet at home, so I do downloads at Starbucks.

Many studios do not permit direct internet connections on their productive machines. Direct Service Center connections are often not an option.

Man, I wish they'd warn you on the box so you know before you buy or install.

    This sux.

Service center can be used off line as well. I've never tried it but if I forget to connect to the Internet when running it I get an option of running in offline mode. Perhaps you can do that and go to Starbucks to fetch the update and then take it over to your studio machine?

    I'll give it a go.

The only problem is Guitar Rig 5 is on all the download pages now! I doubt I can update to that.

And presumably there is a special LE version anyway. I just haven't found it yet.

You should go to their site and create an account (it's easy), then you will have access to the updates for GR4 LE. Otherwise the only way to get it working is to use the Service Center. It's a big download for GR 4 (almost 300 MB) so doing it via dial-up will take or while. I'd recommend the Starbucks download if the Wi Fi there is faster. Either way, it won't wok without those updates.
