(Solved!) "Zero Controllers When Play Stops", Not working?

Hi All!
 
Sometime ago, back in the good "ol days of Sonar 6 OR 7 (not sure which version) I ran into a midi problem where I would adjust the velocity of a midi track configured to my Kurzweil PC2R Sound Module say to 45, Record my performance and immediately realize that afterwards,  the velocity had returned to the default 101 (even though the fader showed 45).
 
I went to the trusty Cakewalk Forum with my problem and got a suggestion to go to, "Project > Midi > Other Options" and check the "Zero Controllers When Play Stops" button.
 
Guess what? It worked!!
 
Now some years later I've finally bit the bullet and purchased the "New and Improved" Sonar X1.c !
Ironically, I have the same issue with my midi connection. So, what do I do?
This will be easy, just follow the same route to the solution as in the earlier version of Sonar, right?
 
Of course not!! That would be too easy.
 
Why would you think that what worked in an earlier version of Sonar would work in this incredible, modern day DAW with the same name???
 
The problems just keep on coming!
 
Can anyone help me with this one?
