Cakewalk said ages ago with the big Roland buy-out/partnership news that Cake did software and Roland did hardware.
But recently ROLAND announced some new supa dupa software spectrum edit by visuals sort of thingy. I guess ROLAND do the ROMS etc in their hardware. I thnk Cake just does the Cakewalk software line of product with hardware coming in via Edirol.ROLAND but I don't see much Cakewalk moving towards the ROLAND venture.
Does that mean that there's a duplication of human programming resources or completely divergent teams or is there a unified approach.
With the various marketing snafus with release info (even with X1) etc I wonder sometimes how together the various teams are. Is it really big ROLAND with little Cakewalk working away somewhere.
Probably not my business but you have to wonder what causes things to go wrong not only with products themslef but release of info to the media and an increase in recent advertising for programming staff at Cakewalk - Is that replacement or teams growing. Hope for our sake it's the latter.
