Dimension LE dropping notes in Sonar LE

Hi, I've been using my Motif rack XS for most of my midi-based recordings, but lately I've wanted to use some of the sounds from my Proteus pack with Dimension LE. But, Dimension is dropping notes!! Perhaps I'm asking for too much polyphony - but I don't think so. Anyway, I've put some files on my website to show what is happening. This is the midi file in question http://myweb.whitman.syr...dgharris/Pocohantis.MID This is a recording of what I get with the Motif - the piano only http://myweb.whitman.syr....ris/MidiMotifpiano.WMA This is a recording of what I get with Dimension LE - it sounds like a cripple!! http://myweb.whitman.syr....ris/DimensionPiano.WMA I'm linking my computer to midi, microphones, etc. via an Edirol FA 66. When I record my midi output to an audio track with Sonar LE, to produce finished WAV or WMA files, I set the input on my recording-armed audio track to the Edirol channel for midi playback, and it works fine. What sounds I get off of the dimension I've not been able to get that way, even when trying each of the three Edirol inputs. Also, I can't record it with an audio track set to Dimension as the input. How does one get the Dimension output back into Sonar as an audio track - besides recording the output with an external recorder - which is how I got the soundfiles above, or feeding the headphone jack output back into the Edirol? Thanks for your help. Dave P.S. I did search on Sonar LE and Dimension LE here an across the internet and I didn't find any info.

    It's called Bouncing.
Select the MIDI track and the soft synth track while holding down the computer keyboard's Ctrl key.
Make sure all of the clips in the MIDI track are selected by scrolling through the project. Selected clips should turn a different color than unselected tracks, in the case of my program, they turn black.
Go to Edit>Bounce to Track(s), make some selections in the bounce menu and click OK.
The synth track will be rendered to an audio track.

Thanks, 57Gregy, but, unfortunately this did not change anything. But, I found a solution. Here's how it works: 1) close down Sonar LE, 2) open Home Creator 5 and build the Dimension LE instruments there, 3) record this on an off-board digital recorder off the Edirol headphone jack, 4) reopen Sonar and digitally copy the accompaniment Wav file there. Works great!! After I made the file in (2), with Home Creator, and opened it in Sonar - didn't work. Only played a few notes here and there - pathetic. Dave Harris

P.S. I thought someone from Cakewalk might actually look at these forums? But, why my Dimension LE works in my $35 Home Creator program (albeit limited to a small number of tracks) and not in Sonar LE ......???? Any officious thoughts on this??

I'm having the same problem with Dimension LE in Sonar 8.5 Studio. Ever find any solution (beyond using other software and a headphone jack) or hear from Cakewalk on this? Thanks.
