Would Alienware laptops make good firewire DAWS with Sonar?

Here is the specs of an alienware laptop I am looking at at Best Buy:

It looks great with three Firewire Ports.

The only thing is, ids that most Firewire interfaces only work smoothly with TI Chipsets. IF I were to buy this computer, or one from Sony with a built in firewire port would my firewire interface work correctly?

Thanks.

I was looking for the highest performance I could get in a laptop and was seriously considering an Alienware until I checked out Sager and Clevo. http://www.sagernotebook....browse&selected_cat=10 http://www.clevo.com.tw/e...tem.asp?procatalogID=4 I picked up a Sager NP7280 last year and have been extremely happy with it. Sure, it's heavy and has low battery life, but considering what it has under the hood, that's not a surprise.
