Saving fav synth sounds

Hi All,
Is there a way to store and save favorite synth sounds in one common folder? Not necessarily the sound itself, but perhaps a path to the synth sound or a shortcut. What I'm trying to do is find a method of retrieving fav sounds. I've got so many on my hd, I can't always remember where that one sound is I need, know what I mean? (Picture client standing over my shoulder saying "no that's not it, but close.") It would be great if I could pull up a folder with sounds and/or paths or shortcuts to Dimension 64 sounds or Rapture 64 sounds, for example, instead of scrolling through hundreds.

TIA,

    You can use track templates:

    1) To create: select one or more tracks, then right-click in the selected area, and select "Save as track template".
    2) To retrieve: open browser ('B') and navigate to track templates, and drag and drop a track template into your track view.

I use track templates for the purpose you described.
