Cool. Since I just DLed MC 6 (so I can keep up with the current fads without breaking the bank ) which includes a version of Ampltube, I wonder if I would qualify? I'd better install and register that puppy soon!

Greg, the basic version of Amplitube 3 (standalone and VST) is free - get it HERE It comes with some very usable amps, cabs and effects - if you want to expand your set-up, you can simply purchase other amps/cabs'FX etc from the custom shop on the IK website. Although they don't sell the components 'directly', you can buy bundles of 'credits'. The more credits you purchase at once, the better the value. You can also download and try out any of the stuff for 48 hours.

bayoubill Hey Greg I remember that uniform on your avatar. Iused to wear it. 1505's too! That was in tech school, Lowry AFB, CO in 1978, That yellow badge above my name reads "Class Leader". I was chosen as class leader due to my advanced knowledge superior intellect I was recognized as a nautral leader of men age. Bill, we have a lot in common; old, AF veterans, can't sing, frequented Denton, TX, I've been to Louisiana. I think Oh Grant is one of us, too. If only I could play guitar like you (and Grant).

I have wanted a blonde Dual Showman ever since I saw my first "guitar hero" playing his cream colored Telecaster, maple fretboard through one. Man, did it sound good. His name was John Rainey Adkins and he now resides in the Alabama Music HOF. He was one of the best players I have ever seen anywhere, anytime... the Stone Blues Man. He also wrote the guitar lick for Roy Orbison's "Pretty Woman". If you ever had the pleasure of seeing the Candymen live you will know wht I mean. When they broke up the players made two bands, the Classics IV and more importantly, ARS along with the Singer from Noah's Ark. NA played for our senior dance. Their guitarist was Buddy Richardson from White Witch; Rodney Justo: vocals; Bobby Caldwell: drums (later wit Johnny Winter and Captain Beyond); Bill Mann 2nd guitar; Ronny Elliott: bass. ...but I will never forget that Showman. My first real guitar was a '67 Tele because of Adkins... maybe one day I will get the early 60s blonde Showman too! I have Jimi's Ampitude Showman but I still want a real one so I cn finish off my hearing. Tinitis is not enough. Julien
