Groove Player?

I looked in C:/Programs/Cakewalk/Shared DXi    and found a
Groove Player folder with GroovePlayer.dll v2.0.0.1
But I don't see it in my Plugin list as an option to add.
Should I add this folder location to the VST folder search?
or is there another way?

I am vaguely familiar with this plugin.  I believe it is for .rex files.
Is this correct?

It's a DX, not a VST, and should have been recognized by Windows. The VST scanner only looks for VSTs.

isn't the groove player the metronome?  I don't remember for certain but that makes sense.  if so it won't show up as a separate plugin available for you to choose.

Oops, sorry, I have to learn to read - it's in THE SHARED DXi Folder.

I tried adding Groove Player in the plugin layout manager, in the right most column, then when I was closing the manager, it asked if I wanted to save the new layout, and I gave it a name, and saved it.
Then when trying to add a plugin, I change from the default layout to my custom layout, and I still don't see Groove Player as an option.

IF it is the metronome, like Beagle says, then I'll just delete my custom
    configuration.

I can't remember for certain if it is or not.  one of those DX plugins is the metronome and that's all it does and I think it might be that one.
